PREVENTIVE CARE
There is no more cost-effective dental treatment than preventive care.
The investment you make in taking care of your teeth and gums before there is a problem, is one of the best, most
low-cost "insurance policies" you will ever buy. During regular check-ups, your dentist will
examine your teeth and gums and, periodically take x-rays, to make certain that there are no
problems in your mouth, visible or not. He will check for signs of oral cancer and may also be able
to detect certain medical disorders, such as diabetes, which, interestingly, can be revealed in the
mouth tissues. This thorough dental oral diagnosis will be your first line of defense against dental
problems in the future.
Your periodic, regular visits with one of our professionally-trained dental hygienists, will round
out your dental protection program. The hygienist will provide a dental cleaning with maintenance
instruction and periodontal (gum care) education. She will help you to understand how you can
actively participate in your oral health by comprehensively performing routine home care.
Part of your complete program of dental care will be our monitored recall system to help you remember to make those all-important routine appointments.
