Dentists' Office of the Hudson Valley Now located in New Building

The Dentists' Office at the Hudson Valley, an anchor business at the Hudson Valley Mall for 23 years, has moved.  The new location is two-tenths of a mile north of Adams Fairacre Farms. When asked the reason for the change, Dr. Allen Ackerman, one of two managing partners of the practice, explained. "We had outgrown our space there and needed to move in order to accommodate our increasing numbers of patients. At the same time," he added," we have modernized, upgraded, and increased the numbers of services we offer, factors which ultimately have allowed us to increase the number of employees and practitioners in the practice."

The new, fully handicapped accessible building is a freestanding dental facility with over 7,000 square feet. "The new space," Dr. Allan Abolafia, the other partner in the practice, added, "has allowed us to upgrade to state-of-the-art technology, including digital x-rays and the storage of patient files on computer." Dr. Ackerman added that "everything in the new space is geared toward patient comfort. Low-noise, electric hand pieces, televison monitors in each room, and a children's play area are just three examples of the patient-friendly environment we offer. An intra-oral imaging system, allows patients to visualize tooth and mouth-related problems and treatments."

Conveniently located on Route 9W in Lake Katrine, the new building has sixteen dental treatment rooms, a lunch/conference room, a large, comfortable reception area, and more. There is ample parking for forty cars. The move to 1733 Ulster Avenue and the change of name to "Dentists' Office of the Hudson Valley" took place in the summer of 2006.
